ESPAÑA!

As a recap, I just spent about five days in Greece, which was absolutely incredible. Athens had some sweet history, but I LOVED Santorini. It´s an island south of Greece, and it is magnificent. One day, we spent the day on a red beach. We kind of had to hike up a small mountain to get there, but it was well worth it. We also went for a hike through some of the countryside of Santorini, which was beautiful. If we had time, we might have made it to a tour of the active volcano, but we were satisfied with our self-made adventures. On our last night in Santorini, we went to a small town called Oia (pronounced EE-uh) to watch the sun set. It was beautiful, and I got some really pretty pictures.
We had a long ferry ride back, a long wait in the airport, and a flight to Spain, but we are now in Madrid. We just got here this afternoon, and we fell asleep immediately so we haven´t seen anything yet, but tomorrow, we plan on exploring the city as much as possible. We are spending two nights here and then we are off to Barcelona.
I am hoping that some of my high school Spanish classes will pay off, but I´m a little doubtful. We are having an amazing time, and I will try to update again soon!

Italy to Greece!!

So we have spent the past three days in Rome, which has been incredible. There is so much history here, making it somewhat difficult to take it all in. Yesterday, we visited the Vatican museum which brought us to the Sistine Chapel, that was beyond amazing. However, our necks hurt from looking up so much at the decorative ceilings. After the Vatican, we walked to the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon. Today, we saw the COLLOSEUM!!! We also saw some really neat ruins. We got somewhat lost in the ruins just because there was so much! Basically, we are super tired at the end of our days, but it is well worth it.
Tomorrow, we are leaving Italy to head over to Athens, Greece. We are excited to see the Parthenon and the Acropolis. We plan on spending a few days there, and then make our way to Santorini, which I am super excited about.
Basically, everything is incredible and I am loving this trip. I miss you all dearly and love you!

ITALY!!!

We have officially left Germany and are now in ITALY!!! Germany was great and we met so many great people. We also got to go to Dachau, which was incredible. It was definitely intense, and we learned a lot. It was just amazing to be in a place with so much history, and especially so much death. I could not believe it. Crazy.
Anyway, we are now in Florence, Italy, and tomorrow we are leaving for Rome. Florence is gorgeous, but we have heard a lot about Rome and we are all very excited to go.

I will do my best to get pictures up soon, but I will do my best. I especially want to show you all the pictures of the Leaning Tower of Pisa!

Love you all!

Germany!!!

We are currently in Berlin, Germany right now. It is great so far. Definitely weird being in a place where people speak a completely different language, but we have done pretty well so far, and we have met some really great people too. In all, we are having a lot of fun. We saw the Berlin wall yesterday, and today we toured around a lot. A couple of days ago, we were in Frankfurt, which was a really cute town. Tomorrow we are headed towards Munich, which I am really excited about. I have heard a lot of good things about it. Things are definitely expensive though. Boo. And we have quickly realized that whenever we think we are going the right way, we are not. Makes for some fun adventures though! Love you all.

Day Before!

I'm going to Europe for five weeks with two of the best friends a girl could ask for, Whitney and Heather. This blog is for family and friends so you all can see our travels. I will try to update as much and as often as possible, hopefully at least once a week. I can't wait to come back and tell you all EVERYTHING! I'd love to hear from you all while I'm away. Feel free to email me! I'll miss everyone while I'm over there, especially my first graders!!!

We're leaving tomorrow and we're freaking out! I can't believe I am about to be in another continent!!! AAAHHHHH! (Ms. Adams' class, I hope you noticed that I used a sound word!)
